So Vanessa decided it would be so much fun to jump into a pile of leaves. All the cartoon people are jumping into fall leaves. Why should she be left out? So she asks for a rake and of course I oblige. Go ahead, I am not telling her NOT to rake my yard. She started with the little rake and quickly figured out it was too small for the giant pile she had envisioned. Logan had a smaller rake, but he was just tearing up the yard with it.
Vanessa asked me if she could use the big rake. Sure, but I am not paying you. She gave Logan the smaller rake so he could do some real damage to the lawn while she plugged away at her pile.

I am almost positive his father will cringe when, I mean if, he ever sees these pictures, but he looks so cute. We need at least one man around here who is committed to lawn maintenance. Vanessa quickly tired of raking and still had only a miniscule amount of leaves. Not a proper amount for jumping. She asked me if I would rake for a while. Right. Not happening. I do not do lawn. It is part of nature. She will have to get with her father about that one. She said she is going to try again tomorrow. Good luck to her. She is gonna need it.

A) she needs more leaves on the ground to start with
B) buy that girl a leaf blower ;)
Ah, the imagination of a child. I too worked on piling leaves when I was young. I actually got a really big pile one time and all it took was one really good jump to realize it was not a comfortable experience. She will learn.
They both look adorable raking though. =)
You're not the only one who needs to Jump!
