Today was Saturday and very gloomy outside. I decided we should do some projects to take our mind off the dismal weather. We started our day with swim class. Vanessa is almost able to swim all on her own. Pretty impressive. Logan is getting braver jumping in from the side. He thinks the class should be all jumping though. He struggles with boring things like floating. Who needs that? Here they are getting ready to bake some peanut butter cookies in their little aprons.
First Vanessa had to put the little criss cross marks on them. They wouldn't be peanut butter cookies without them. Very necessary. Then she takes the time to instruct Logan on proper sprinkle placement. You can't just put them anywhere.
While the cookies were baking we got artsy. Logan chose a picture of Diego, his hero as of late, to paint. Vanessa chose the hippo from backyardigans. She knows her name.....I do not. Logan is very serious about his painting too.

Being an artistic prodigy and olympic worthy swimmer can work up quite an appetite. I think we had a nice day. I just hope I don't run out of ideas because we have a lot of rainy days to look forward to.
