Rain Boots

Today it rained, a lot. It is typical here. At least my lawn will be happy. Logan likes the rain too. Vanessa was away spending time with Nana today who will be on her way back to Arizona soon. I had some recording to do for our Christmas music which I still have no idea about. Jeffrey is one of those people who keeps things quiet. He doesn't do it on purpose, but he is a man and they can only do one thing at a time and today it was record. When I got home Logan and I decided to play in the garage. He was fascinated by the rain. He kept screaming about the circles the rain made in the puddles. He got closer and closer until I just decided it was time to break out the rain gear.

He didn't like the hood at first, but if wearing it meant he could go in that puddle he was eyeing then he could deal with it. He looked so cute running and jumping in the puddles. I guess it is a good thing because there will be lots of rain in the coming months. He would not have me just stand there and watch either. He insisted that I take my turn in the puddles and I obliged.

Rain boots or not he was soaked when we came in so off to the bath we went. He was happy to have some more water to play in and some new jammies to wear. He really likes it when we get to brush his teeth. He has almost all of them now and is eager to brush them all by himself each night.
Vanessa had a great time going to the movies with her Nana and going to dinner. Logan and I had a blast playing in the rain. It is fun to see how excited he gets over the simplest things. It makes me think I should have played in more puddles when I was a kid. I am glad I have some kids now so I can revisit the puddles.
