A day in the life of.....

Just in case none of you has a life and would like to know about mine I am posting this blog. We started homeschooling 2 weeks ago and have finally gotten into predictable groove. I often wonder about the flow of other people's days. I wonder how they decide when to do what. I am a scheduler myself and thrive on routine. So here is a glimpse into our little homeschooling world. Does it resemble yours?

8-8:30 am Vanessa wakes me up with some emergency like "Logan is whining" of "Lorelai is crying". So I get and investigate who is making noise and decide that breakfast would be the sure fire cure.

9ish We start school. It usually begins with me telling Logan to go get dressed. Vanessa is ready for the day before breakfast. The boy likes to see how long he can get away with his jammies. He returns and I send him back upstairs at least twice to brush his teeth and straighten his room. Did I mention he lies?

10am We wake up Dan who stumbles downstairs, grabs some coffee and Lorelai and heads back upstairs. He keeps her busy while I finish up with Logan and then he heads up. Then I do lessons or help Vanessa with any work.

11am I usually can leave Vanessa to finish up and I can get a shower. Then we all head back downstairs and get started on chores.

12am School is done, except for reading with Logan, and chores are done or almost completed so Dan starts lunch.

1pm We clean up and all the chores are done. Now Dan gets ready for work, reads to the little ones and puts them down for a nap.

Then the rest of the day is mine to make sure the house doesn't get turned upside down and that the children play nicely. Then there is dinner and baths and more reading to the older 2. If they are lucky they can watch tv. I am really liking our schedule. I feel like we make the most of the time we have so on the weekends we can do absolutely nothing. Just the way I like it.

Ok, at Midnight I want you to program your alarm clock for 12pm. Then, set your alarm to wake you up at 9am. Now, let me know how that works out for ya;)

Only you would notice that. And I am not changing it now. :P
